Workflows allow you to automate certain actions and behaviours based on specific triggers.
This allows you to do things like:
Automatically page the right person depending on the incident type.
Build runbooks by creating lists of actions at the start of an incident.
Automatically send emails to key stakeholders when a serious incident occurs.
📊 Custom Fields
Common custom fields include things like Customer Affected, System(s) Affected, Affected Customer Journey/Product etc.
We offer many integrations across paging/escalation, issue tracking and communication tools.
incident.io provides you with access to various insights about your incidents via the dashboard:
With basic insights, you’ll be able to see a high-level overview of incidents by size and severity, alongside the status of incident actions
With advanced insights, you’ll get much more in-depth data on the types of incidents you’re experiencing and your incident response process, including how incidents are being picked up across your team and the visibility of outstanding tasks.
🔒 Private Incidents
Private Incidents allow users to collaborate on sensitive incidents through a private Slack channel and specific permissions.
This feature is especially useful for those dealing with sensitive data, and compliance/regulation-heavy industries.
🏖 Sandbox Environments
With Sandbox Environments, you can install incident.io in a secondary Slack workspace where you can safely edit settings and integrations without impacting your main installation.
🗂 Incident Types
With Incident Types, you can tailor your response process to the situation you're responding to with custom configurations for each type of incident.
Policies allow you to encode your organisation's commitments around incident processes. This means you can:
Model commitments for high severity incidents, such as requiring post-mortems or follow-up closure
Encourage teams to meet those commitments by exposing violations in their incidents
Understand performance by tracking policy breaches over time
